THE TEA

Kamogelo is a friend of mine and wanted to start her fashion and lifestyle blog. I was happy to jump along and take on the photography and online aspects.
This has and continues to be, a project that is just such fun for the both of us. Outside of photography, i was also able to practice my social ads to promote the posts through Facebook and Instagram, as well as Google

To do this i undertook a number of techniques

  • Content planning with calenders
  • Google Adwords
  • SEO strategies (on and off page)
  • Sponsored posts

Adwords and Analytics

With Google Adwords, we decided on a set budget and I would then run adverts occassionally using keywords then identify our key audiences on Google Analytics. Analytics would show that our audiences were mostly viewing our content on their laptops and their phone, compared to their tablets.

 

SEO

On page techniques involved tweaking titles to keywords, alt tags for images and internal links to other fashion content pages related. As well as editing meta descriptions and focus keyphrases. The off-page strategies included social media link referrals from the Instagram to the main website, and social media posts.

This is an example of the results of a Facebook promotion. It ran for about a month and did well for the target areas of Botswana and Kenya. As identified by previous personas, it was found that our target age and gender were indeed aged 18-24 and women
